TESTIMONIALS
From Past & Current Clients
At 71 years old, I was able to walk 5-10 miles or run 1.5 miles three times a week, but I knew I wasn't truly in shape, and my doctor concurred. I was fortunate to connect with Lynne Olsen, who helped me build strength and flexibility.
In just the first three months of working with her, I saw significant improvement. Lynne took the time to work closely with me, ensuring I was performing each exercise correctly and effectively. She consistently introduced new workouts and activities that challenged me, focusing on strengthening my entire body.
Her positivity, deep knowledge of physical training and the human body, combined with her genuine care for others, make her exceptional. Lynne is more than just a trainer—she’s a true partner, crafting a personalized approach to help her clients achieve better health, strength, and flexibility.

When I turned 80, I decided to climb Kilimanjaro. My wife and I had climbed this mountain before when we lived in Africa for a time. I was in my mid-twenties then and it was a difficult challenge even at that age. I have been running and working out in the gym for most of my life, so I thought I was in generally good shape. However, I had reduced my routine during Covid and let it slide further after that. I knew I needed help to meet my self-imposed challenge. At 19,341 feet, this mountain was tough in my twenties and would be even more difficult after 80. I realized I needed help. I went to the gym at Quail Run and looked for a trainer. My good luck was to meet Lynne Olsen. I explained what I wanted to do. The first thing she did was to test my general strength, legs, core and balance. Lynne focused on what I personally needed to successfully climb Kili. She gave me a number of exercises to build up my legs and core. The tough stuff, like planks and lunges, that are aimed at improving my balance when hiking on rocks and climbing boulders. I also started lifting weights again to build my overall strength. The regimen created by Lynne was to do two mountain hikes a week of between 10 and 12 miles each, with a full pack, plus one or two short hikes of eight miles each. The first time I climbed the Aspen Vista trail, I could have stepped on my tongue. After months of doing that, however, I could race up that trail. I summitted with my small group and a full moon on September 3, 2025. The bonus was that after a good rest and recreation, I have continued with Lynne's regimen and will be hiking locally and in the Celestial Mountains of Kyrgyzstan later this summer. Throughout this process, Lynne was optimistic and encouraging and yes, sometimes a little demanding, everything you’d expect of a trainer. I I recommend Lynne without hesitation to anyone who wants to take on a significant physical challenge.

I was experiencing a very tender back that felt as if it would spasm. As a long-time yogi and cyclist I knew hours of a repetitive motion could be detrimental. I also knew I was stronger on one side of my body than than the other. If possible, I was looking for a way to relax the muscles and strengthen if I had weakness. During this period I was also experiencing a lot of stress and knew that I carried it in my lower back.
I reached out to Lynne because of her expertise with MFR. It was important to me find an active treatment plan that would help me feel better and prevent future episodes.
Lynne took her time evaluating my strengths and weaknesses. She listened carefully and watched my movements with intent. Her explanations for my exercises were detailed. I often took pictures of her demonstrating the poses and exercises. She supplemented the pictures with a follow-up email.
The outcome of my sessions with Lynne have been very positive. I use the MFR work with the balls before cycling and it warms up my muscles. I also use the balls when I feel my back becoming tense.
I highly recommend Lynne. Not only did she help me alleviate the issue she gave me a proactive plan for the future.

I came to Lynne a few months ago to address the physical issues that have arisen from a mild form of scoliosis. After a lifetime of ignoring it, at 76 years of age, it was time to deal with the twisted stance that has resulted in neck pain, lower back pain and, to some degree, shortness of breath.
Lynne conducted a standing and moving physical assessment resulting in our sessions of mindful breathing, isometric exercises, stretching and myofascial release. Her knowledge of how these exercises are complimented by traditional yoga poses, in addition to her clear explanations of the components of my physical structure, made it easy for me to visualize the goal of our sessions. The result has been to help bring balance between the two sides of my body, to improve my strength and to help me breathe more easily.
I have found that working with Lynne has provided me with a template that I am able to use daily and will be able to carry with me into the future. If I were to grade our interaction, it would be an A+.Thank you for the opportunity to share this.

A friend of mine suggested I see Lynne Olsen for help with chronic back and pelvic floor pain. After discussing my issues, she reviewed the physical therapy exercises I had received from various medical professionals.
Through modifications, eliminations and additions, she compiled them into a doable daily routine. She gave me instruction on breathing and stretching techniques and provided additional strength exercises.
I was very pleased that she worked at my pace, always offering encouragement, correcting my form and listening to my feedback. I immediately began to feel improvements in mobility and flexibility. My 65 year old body began to feel years younger. I actually felt good!
Recently, there were days where I have been pain free. I think anyone would benefit greatly from Lynne's knowledgeable and caring instruction.

There really is no one like Lynne. Not even close.
Under Lynne's leadership, you will work harder, achieve more, and feel better than you expected or thought possible. You ask anyone in her classes, and they will tell you the same thing. I have tried to understand how she does it, what makes her different.
She has absolute confidence in herself, and in you. She is totally in the moment, and she works very hard. It might be those things, or might not, all I know is that she is different, and if you take a class or train with her, you will understand exactly what I am talking about.

Several years ago I was in search of a personal trainer. Not just any personal trainer though. Yes, I wanted to find a trainer who was knowledgeable about what exercise regimen would help me achieve my goals, but I also wanted to find someone I was comfortable with, someone who I could trust, given that I'm an above-the-knee amputee.
I called a few trainers in my area, explained my situation, but never got a warm feeling from them. Then I found Lynne Olsen. From the first time we spoke on the phone, I had an instant connection with her. As I explained my goals and my limitations, Lynne listened. I could tell she cared by the questions she asked. She seemed genuinely concerned about wanting to help me.
During our sessions, Lynne was a true professional. She worked with me until I mastered the exercises, feeling comfortable to do them at home. She also quickly modified the exercises that my prosthesis was limiting me from doing. Every few weeks, we would meet to revise the workout regimen or just make sure everything was going smoothly.
What I really appreciated was that Lynne challenged me. She encouraged me to try exercises that I was hesitant to do because of my handicap. To this day, I still do the exercise routines Lynne created for me and I'm a stronger person physically and mentally for it. Lynne also encourage me to try yoga, which was something I never thought I was capable of doing. Now that I've been doing yoga for over two years, I have definitely reaped the benefits with better balance.
Kind, extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, trustworthy...all traits that I found in Lynne, as a trainer and now as a friend.
